Key points of intervention

Here the Forest Garden Group was exploring key points of intervention for the project with its people and land dimensions.

One key aspect of the process was how to deal with some very strong objections to the project in our initial information gathering stage. The point of intervention in this situation was developed with the ultimate of integrating the project into community life by listening, always openly informing the community of what we were doing in the community, inviting the community to the space for events and work days, and getting input on the design for the community: all working on the edge with careful observation and interaction and small and slow solutions. In addition we sought the advice of experts within the community, either in terms of their experience of the land at Hoathly Hill or their specialist knowledge of biodynamics.
